La moneda y la pertenencia a la Unión Europea se han convertido en el centro de la campaña sobre el referéndum independentista del próximo 18 de septiembre en Escocia. Alex Salmond, ministro principal escocés y líder del independentista SNP, quiere irse de casa pero que el resto de Reino Unido le siga lavando la ropa y por eso defiende cosas como seguir usando la libra después de la secesión. Una actitud que recuerda a la de Artur Mas en Cataluña, que también quiere la independencia pero permaneciendo en la UE, con el Barça en la Liga española o compartiendo Ejército con España, por citar sólo algunos ejemplos.
