El pasado domingo vivimos una revolución electoral en España y en el resto de Europa. Los tres fenómenos característicos de todos los procesos electorales desde el inicio de la crisis se han producido en nuestro país: abstención, fragmentación y radicalización.

La Comisión Europea propone resolver el problema del paro unificando los tipos de contrato para que todos tengan un coste de despido más barato. Es el tema central de un informe que constata lo inadecuada que es en España la educación y la formación profesional, lo mal que se usa el dinero destinado a este tema y en el que se recomienda mayores exigencias para vincular las prestaciones sociales del parado con su aceptación de una oferta de empleo.

Los ministros del Interior de España y Francia, Jorge Fernández Díaz y Bernard Cazeneuve, coincidieron ayer en la necesidad de organizar una nueva cumbre de ministros europeos del Interior para abordar el fenómeno de los yihadistas que viajan a combatir a Siria, así como los que retornan a Europa tras luchar en ese país o en el Sahel.

Requirement assessment can be done by the local police. All these students doing duties could be part of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGs) or the security apparatus of home guards and civil defence. This way, they can earn an honorarium too. This investment is a win-win situation. It will groom grassroots leadership, and also create a rural leadership for the future, unlike today.

The case arose from a lurid domestic dispute that started when a Pennsylvania woman, Carol A. Bond, learned that her husband was the father of her best friend’s child. Ms. Bond, a microbiologist, spread harmful chemicals on the friend’s car, mailbox and doorknob in late 2006 and early 2007, and the friend sustained a minor injury. Local authorities decided not to pursue the matter. But federal prosecutors charged Ms. Bond with using unconventional weapons in violation of a law based on the Chemical Weapons Convention, a treaty concerned with terrorists and rogue states.

If you speak more languages than one, it is good not only for your social image but also for the health of your brain, a research said. Bilingualism has a positive effect on cognition later in life. Individuals, who speak two or more languages, even those who acquired the second language in adulthood, may slow down cognitive decline from aging, the research found.
