Russian, French FMs acknowledge Kiev not observing Berlin agreements on resolving Ukraine crisis


The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart, Laurent Fabius, on Wednesday. The ministers discussed settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry. "The French minister emphasized the ongoing aggravation of the situation in the southeastern regions of the country, while acknowledging that in practice the authorities in Kiev have departed from the agreements reached by the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Russia, France and Germany in Berlin on July 2, 2014," the statement said.
