During his visit to Asia, Eurogroup President Dijsselbloem took part in the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong.

In his speech there he talked about recent developments in the euro area and explained how European countries, like Asia in the nineties, were using the crisis to strengthen their economies. He emphasised the importance of the banking union and pushing through structural reforms to achieve sustainable growth.
