The Republican Party in the US is about to collapse. Their leading members of course, still refuse to accept this reality. This may be understood in light of the pain that caused the hostile takeover by Donald Trump. But in the long run, the decay will not be denied ... It is already clear: Trump no longer needs the Republicans to pull in the election campaign. He hijacked the party, gutted and sent their leaders into insignificance. It was a pathetic spectacle, which were delivering Paul Ryan (after all, as Speaker of the House third man in the state) and Mitch McConnell (after Senate Majority Leader) in Cleveland.
