Ombudsmanul european cere desecretizarea negocierilor legate de TTIP
Secretomania din jurul controversatului Parteneriat Transatlantic şi Parteneriat de Investiţii (TTIP) dintre SUA şi UE nu i-a îngrijorat doar pe activiştii de mediu ci şi pe Ombudsmanul european (Instituţia Avocatului Poporului în Uniunea Europeană). Joi, 31 iulie, Emily O'Reilly, Ombudsmanul European, a deschis două investigaţii îndreptate spre Comisia Europeană şi Consiliul European, cerând o mai mare transparenţă a negocierilor legate de TTIP, publicarea directivelor de negociere ale UE şi a listei întâlnirilor Comisiilor cu acţionari ai companiilor interesate de respectivul tratat.
